Hypnosis in the Dental Practice
A lot of patients (>40%) are nervous or suffer from fear of dentists or anxiety. The manner of communication can reduce or increase this anxiety. For that reason, the right communication and environment can be determining for the patient's experience of the visit. You can help the patient stay calm in the dentist's chair through mild hypnosis or hypnotherapy. It only takes 2-3 minutes to make the patient relaxe, so no extra chair time is spent with the use of mild hypnosis. The hypnotic tools will thus help you reduce the number of cancellations, empty chairs, and use of unnecessary resources. On the workshop you will practice mild hypnosis on each other and learn how to use hypnosis as a supplement for treatment of patients.
