This course is your gateway to a proven path of clinical and professional excellence. As the foundational course in the “Concept of Complete Dentistry TM Series”, you will learn the timeless message that good dentistry, aesthetic dentistry, and complete dentistry must begin with a thorough understanding of occlusion and the functions of the masticatory system. A complete treatment plan is devised after making a thorough diagnosis, which is based upon comprehensive records.

You will learn how to take excellent clinical photographs, make facebow record, the easiest, simplest, and most predictable way to take a Centric Relation bite record, and make a comprehensive examination process including a muscle examination and a TMJ analysis.

We will discuss which patients are straight forward to treat and which require occlusal therapy before definitive treatment is performed.

You will learn:

  • That an efficient records gathering process can be implemented immediately.

  • To educate each patient during an examination.

  • How to establish fees for examination/consultation

  • How to integrate the ability to ask further focused questions.

  • How to locate, verify, and precisely record centric relation and mount casts onto an appropriate semi-adjustable articulator.

  • To use macro digital camera to shoot a full series of diagnostic digital photographs.

  • How to do a correct facebow transfer - and why this is critical to both the diagnostic and restorative phase of the treatment.

  • To judge whether do a comprehensive smile analysis – and how to recognize the flaw in any smile.

  • To evaluate the system for signs of instability (wear, mobility, migration, muscle issues, TMJ dysfunction) - the key to a clinical examination - and ensure the patient understands the problem.

  • How to select a protocol for when to get CT, MRI, etc. based on ROM, history, and load test.
