Dr. Chris Dakin
Chris Dakin trained at The University of Birmingham School of Dentistry, qualifying in 2002. Since then he has worked in general dental practice in the midlands area. He passed examinations for the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2004.
Currently Chris works as an associate dentist in private practice in Leicester and Shipston-on-Stour, enjoying all aspects of aesthetic restorative dentistry.
Chris is part of the team at the Dawson Academy UK based in the Wirral. He was invited by Dr. Ian Buckle to become a Mentor in 2012, having completed the Dawson Academy curriculum in the UK, and attending Advanced Problem Solving with the Dawson Academy in Florida.
Chris has taken on a supporting role with Dr. Buckle passing on his skills and knowledge to all attendees at the Academy.
Chris has interests in dental education, and holds a part-time Clinical Lecturer position at the University of Birmingham School of Dentistry where he is deputy head of clinic for final year dental students. He has lectured to dentists locally and nationally and is also involved with a distance-learning MSc qualification in aesthetic and restorative dentistry at the University of Manchester as a clinical tutor and assessor.
