Understand the principal of crown lengthening techniques
Understand the principle of biological width
How to apply biological width to restorative cases
How to assess and implement crown lengthening procedures
Discuss surgical procedures
Discuss and Treatment plan cases
Implement knowledge on practical pigs jaw
You will learn to:
be able to differentiate between functional and cosmetic crown lengthening cases
be able to treatment functional/cosmetic plan cases that need crown lengthening
be able to perform different crown lengthening techniques

Hatem Algraffee, BDS, MSc, M. Clindent, MFDS MRD
Specialist Periodontist Hatem Algraffee qualified as a dentist from the Royal London Hospital.
Hatem completed four years full time specialist training in Periodontology at Guys London Hospital. He was
awarded a Masters Degree (MSc) in Periodontology and Masters in Clinical Dentistry (M.Clin.Dent) from Guys Hospital.
He has lectured at many postgraduate centres, at webinars and study clubs. He co-founded PerioAcademy,
which dedicates teaching to general dentists/specialists in the field of Periodontics with emphasis in practical knowledge and experience. Hatem now dedicates his time to Periodontics in private practice and lecturing for PerioAcademy.
